Reason for this Autoplay on Hard drive
It is caused by virus (I don’t remember the name, these virus names is never so easy to remember). But this same virus will put the text “Hacked By Godzilla” in the Title bar on IE.
After lot of searching I found information in Thai to fix this and I have at last fix my computer.
To start with you will have to go in tools (in any folder window) and select “Folder options” there you will click on “View” tap and there you will select “Show Hidden files and folders” and un hake “Hide protected operating system file” (this selections are important to find the files you need to delete).
You will then open Windows Task Manager (ctrl-alt-del) and select the “Processes” tap and find “wscript.exe” and click on “End Process” (if there is more than one process with that name you have to end all of them) after that you can close the “Task Manager”
Then you will click on start and select “Search” and search for “autorun.inf” (Search the computer) You will then delete all the files that contains the text MS32DLL.dll.vbs (the virus). (There of course should not be Autorun.inf in the C rooth). You will also delete the virus from the system (C:\WINDOWS\ MS32DLL.dll.vbs)
Next step is to edit the Register (Like always you have to be very care fool in the registry tools. Some mistake there can crash your computer)
Click on “Start” and select “Run” and type in “Regedit” and press “Enter”. Select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE --> Software -->Microsoft -->Windows --> Current Version --> Run. Find there “MS32DLL” and delete that entry.
Then select HKEY_CURRENT_USER --> Software --> Microsoft --> Internet Explorer --> Main. There you find “Window Title “Hacked by Godzilla”” and you should delete that entry. You can close the registry now.
Next you will click on Start --> Run and type in “gpedit.msc” and press “Enter”. Then you will open “Group Policy”. There you will select User Configuration --> Administrative Templates --> System --> and there you will double click on “Turn Off Autoplay” and in the window there you should select “Enabled” and select “All drives” (they say in this Thai webside that select all turn of Autoplay will be safer for not getting viruses). Now you can close the Group Policy.
Next you will click on Start --> Run and type “msconfig” and press “Enter”. You will open “System Configuration Utility”. Click on “Startup” tap and find the file MS32DLL take it out (this was written like this in Thai, only part that didn’t use the word Delete, but they probable mean that you have to delete the entry there. This entry wasn’t on my computer so I didn’t do anything there on my PC). Then you will exit the “System Configuration Utility” and select “Exit Without Restart” when prompt. After this you can open my Computer and select “Tools” and “Folder Options” and “View” tap to change back there. Select “Hide protected operating system file” and “Don’t show hidden files and folders”. Then you will empty the “Recycle bin” and “Restart” your computer. This helps me with my computer and I don’t get any “Autoplay” on my hard drive now.

PC keeps searching for an IP address
My PC keeps searching for an IP address. Error on event log: 7000. Network Localtion Awareness. ??
I have manually assigned IP address and still no results. When I use DHCP it will assign DNS servers, but still will not go to the internet. There are no WINSOCK errors, I tried that already.
Solution:-Sounds like a firewall blocking access. If firewall is on try disabling it temporarily and then try to reconnect.
live messenger help
Windows live messenger help?!!urgent?
i've installed windows live messenger 8.1 and it works perfectly fine until one day it goes saying theres an error and its error 80072efd. i've tried repairing in add/remove program, uninstall and reinstalling, using the malicious program detector and virtually nothing works.but windows messenger works perfectly and i've tried shutting down my firewall....nothing works!!can some one help me?!! my firewall is kaspersky internet security 6...i am so frustrated!!!
Solution:-MSN itself appears to be up right now. You can check at http://messenger.msn.com/status.aspx...
If it's a problem with corrupted dll files, you can fix it by running this application:
http://www.imzers.com/msn/downloads/regi...
Unzip it, and double-click on the .bat file.
If that doesn't do it, you'll need to check your connection settings.
If you do not connect using a proxy (if this is your home machine and you set everything up yourself, you wouldn't have one and not know it) go to the Tools menu, select "Options", click on "Connection" on the left in the window that comes up, then click the "Advanced Settings" button. Uncheck all the boxes except for TCP. Close Messenger down, open it up again, and see if you can connect. If not, open up Internet Explorer (whether that's the browser you normally use or not) click on the Tools menu and select Internet Options. Uncheck "Use a proxy server for LAN" if it's checked and select "Automatically detect settings".
Codec downloading error
How do you fix a codec downloading error?
we had troubles downloading a movie and it would not play because it said it had a codec error
Solution:-Right click on the file in Windows Media Player and go to properties. This will display both the audio and video codecs the file was encoded with. At this point, if one of them is red and has a '!' next to the name, it means your system doesn't have it. Search the internet at this point and you'll likely find the codec you need to install.
Some codecs will come with a special player...I try to avoid these since you can usually find a codec that will work with Windows Media Player.
Unfortunately, I have yet to come across any good codec management software, but this process has usually solved most of my problems.
Hard disk crashed
Hard disk crashed!! What should I do??
I have this 4-5 year old Dell desktop and when I try to turn it on, a black screen comes up and it says that the boot volume is too big and I can't turn it on. I always have to restart it, but the same screens keep on coming up! There's always a black screen with a loading bar at the bottom and then a blue screen that tells you to restart. A computer guy says that the hard disk could be gone but I have all my important stuff on that computer like pictures. What should I do?
Solution:-Sounds like a bad hard drive - but do not worry - you can save the data! Purchase a new hard drive (Tiger Direct.com is a great, low cost place). Install the new hard drive as the Master - install Windows on it (I assume you have a legit copy). Install the bad hard drive as the slave - Windows will see this as a storage device and then you can pull all of your files off of it.

Disable autorun for hard drive
How do I disable autorun for an external hard drive?
Okay. I have an external hard drive with two partitions on it. Every time I plug it into the computer, the autorun dialog starts. This is starting to get very annoying. How can I create an autorun.inf file that tricks the computer into doing nothing when it runs the file. I have already created a blank autorun file, but windows still opens an autorun dialog for both partitions. I have also tried disabling autorun from the hard drive properties. However it resets every time I plug in the external again. Any ideas?
Solution:- sure, download and install TweakUI from Microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downl...
among other lovely power-user settings it allows you to toggle autorun for various devices or turn autorun off altogether (as I did as it's friggin' annoying)

Line : 11
Char : 1
Error : objecte expected

Solution:-Hunny, VIRUS attack that is what you have, easy to clear that off, but you need to be patient because you maybe have to do it manually. Sometimes depending where is the virus located you may lose some data that is in that particular file. AVG on viruses, easy on userscan find the virus and it will give you the option to follow where is the virus located, then... you eliminate the virus by recycling in to the bin. after, empty the bin. Also if you are in the net surfing ,AVG can caught a virus immediately, it will prompt the window virus vault. the virus stay there till you deleted. Is very important for you to read about AVG. You will loved!!!
If you don't have AVG (Recommended) You know the file name, funded and deleted that particular file into the bin, then... empty the bin. is very important that you run your anti-virus after that.
If you think that you have been attack with a virus, ( in the moment that you are surfing the net ) and you don't have protection in your PC...don't think twice immediately unplug you power cable from the wall and Internet pc card... by doing that, you will stop the virus and get spread allover your PC.

I have a problem with my laptop (over heating, there is wierd noises coming from it as well, and it shuts down when it's too much) I've also had warnings that the cooling system wasn't working propertly, my question is, how much should it cost to fix this? I want to go with a rough estimate so that I won't get ripped off.... Thnx!!

RAM won't work on cpu
RAM won't work on cpu, why?
I just got a new RAM but it wouldn't work on my cpu, why does this happen?
I checked my cpu and got the right kind of RAM which is pc100 512MB SDRAM 168-pin DIMM Non-ECC but still won't work. btw the maximum size of RAM my cpu can take is 768MB and I already have 256MB of RAM equipped and I'm adding a new 512MB but it wouldn't work.
Solution:-Let's see now. You forgot to tell us what brand an model your motherboard is... You did not mention what CPU and speed you are running. You also forgot to tell us how many slots you have. If there were 4, then identical pairs must be installed.
But here is a guess.
Plug in the new RAM by itself and try it.
Move it to a different SLOT. and try again.
If you can take those new ones BACK, you might look up the possibilities at http://www.coastmemory.com
